Planned Murder and Cover-Up
Saurabh and Muskan had been married since 2016, but their relationship had soured. On the night of the murder, Muskan allegedly spiked his drink before stabbing him multiple times. Sahil then used a sharper blade to sever his neck.
In a chilling incident from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a woman named Muskan Rastogi, along with her lover Sahil Shukla, has been arrested for the gruesome murder of her husband, Saurabh Rajput, a former Merchant Navy officer. The crime, marked by deceit and brutality, has sent shockwaves through the community.
The Sinister Plot
Saurabh Rajput had returned from London on February 24, 2025, to surprise his wife on her birthday. Unbeknownst to him, Muskan and Sahil had been plotting his murder for months. On March 4, they executed their plan by drugging Saurabh's drink, rendering him unconscious. Sahil then instructed Muskan to sit on Saurabh's chest and stab him thrice in the heart, ensuring his death. After the murder, they dismembered his body and concealed the parts in a drum filled with cement, which they stored in their home.
Manipulation Through 'Messages from Heaven'
To convince Sahil to partake in the murder, Muskan resorted to psychological manipulation. She sent Snapchat messages posing as Sahil's deceased mother, claiming to communicate from heaven. These messages urged Sahil to kill Saurabh, exploiting his emotional vulnerability to further their sinister agenda.
Discovery and Arrest
The crime came to light when Saurabh's family grew suspicious due to his prolonged absence and uncharacteristic silence. Despite Muskan's attempts to mislead them by sending messages from Saurabh's phone, the family reported him missing. The breakthrough occurred when the couple's five-year-old daughter innocently told neighbors, "Papa is inside the drum." This revelation led to a police investigation, during which Muskan confessed to the crime.
Aftermath
Both Muskan and Sahil have been arrested and are awaiting trial. The case has drawn parallels to a similar incident in Jaipur, where a woman and her lover were arrested for murdering her husband, highlighting a disturbing trend of domestic crimes fueled by extramarital affairs.
This incident underscores the potential for manipulation and violence within personal relationships, serving as a grim reminder of the lengths individuals may go to fulfill their desires.
